In this blend of romance, suspense, and science fiction, a woman travels from the future in pursuit of a killer and unexpectedly finds love instead. Kentucky investigator Knox Davis can't understand why anyone would want to steal the time capsule that local high school students buried 20 years ago in 1985; nor does he know how it was done--the security cameras don't actually show someone digging it up. But clearly the deed is something more than a puzzling prank, because the people responsible for the time capsule are being murdered. Aiding Davis with the bizarre case is Nikita Stover, whose claim to be an FBI agent doesn't quite fit.
