Third Part of a three-part trilogy
on the Partition: Nilkantha Pakhir Khonje, Aloukik Jalajan and Ishwarer Bagan. Another famous writer of Bengal, Syed Mustafa Siraj has compared Nilkantha Pakhir Khonje, with Greek tragedies and also found it tuned with the core spirit with the Bengali literature like Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay's Pather Panchali.

Born in the Dhaka district of Bangladesh in undivided India, writer Atin Bandyopadhyay migrated to India after the Partition. His documentary style writing displays clarity in description of events and subtlety in analysis of characters. The second and third parts of the trilogy, Aloukik Jalajan and Ishwarer Bagan are among other famous works by the writer. Mahiner Ghoraguli, Jhinukera Nauka, and Panchasti Galpa are few more of his fictions for adults. His works for a younger audience include Gini Rohosyo, Binnir Khoi Lal Batasa, and Fentur Sada Ghora. For his contribution to Modern Bengali literature, prestigious awards like Bibhuti Bhushan Award in 1990, Tarasankar Award in 1991, and Matilal Award in 1983.
