Although he writes his poems on his own, the poet holds ownership of the meaning only as long as the lines are kept away from the reader. The moment his work is read, that ownership is lost to others, who reflect themselves onto the lines to create new meanings without ever realizing what the poet had wanted to say. But then again, perhaps it is those inherent mutations which makes this world so rich with meaning… as a reader, do you feel the same way?
