A Place of Stones: An American charter flight crashes off the coast of Ireland, leaving a one-year-old girl as the only survivor. Brought up by a local fisherman, Molly becomes a famous actress, but her past throws up surprises about the man she thinks of as her brother, and the man she calls husband.

Deirdre Purcell was born and brought up in Dublin. Before turning to writing fiction, she lived through an eclectic set of careers, including acting, as a member of the permanent company of Ireland's National Theatre (The Abbey), and journalism for all media - for which she won Ireland's top awards.
