Summary Of The Book

The protagonist of Zero Day is John Puller, who is the best military investigator in the US Army’s criminal investigative division. He is sent on a mission to investigate into the cruel murder of a family of Pentagon contractors at their very own house in a remote area.

The son of a glorified US Marine, John also has an older brother who was earlier a military vet, but now serves a life sentence in Leavenworth Penitentiary. John, although lonely, is characterized by his unshakable determination to seek the truth.

At the scene of the crime, John discovers that he has to deal with a local homicide detective, a woman who is also on this case. The case is complicated and both of them realize that there are very few people that they can trust in the small rural town. John teams up with the detective, who has her own past to deal with, and together, they set out to uncover the secrets behind the murder.
